Acknowledgement of Traditional Owners
UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.

We have three different course types available:
UTS Open Microcredentials are designed to grow your knowledge and expertise with university-level study. Our courses are designed with industry to equip you will the skills, tools and techniques to meet tomorrow’s challenges. A UTS microcredential is a formally assessed, stand-alone course in a specialised area of practice at university-level which aligns with a specific subject in a nominated UTS degree. Upon successful completion of a UTS microcredential through assessment, you’ll receive a Microcredential Certificate of Attainment. This demonstrates your commitment to achieving a skill or level of knowledge in a particular area at university-level.
UTS Open Short Courses support a range of life and work experiences. Our courses are designed with industry to equip you with the skills, tools and techniques to meet tomorrow’s challenges. Whether it’s part of your continuing professional development, the need to upskill, develop in-depth knowledge on a particular area relating to your job, our courses are practical, industry-relevant and forward thinking, taught by UTS academics and industry experts. We offer a mixture of online, on-campus and blended study modes. Upon successful completion of a UTS short course, you’ll receive a short course Certificate of Attendance.
Our free Courses give you just that, a taste of the topic, a taste of what it’s like to learn online and an authentic taste of the postgraduate learning experience at UTS.
